Additional Maths is quite challenging and is one of the tougher subject to carry on.Sometime,I wonder why and how did the subject Additional Mathematics was created? Was is it be easier to combine the syllabus of Additional Maths to Modern Maths???
I'm not one of the thinkers and don't like to think and predict what is suitable for something, and what is unsuitable for something else.I like to think in logical way.The answer for the question is (in logical manner...hehe) if the Additional Maths is combined with the Modern Maths...the textbook will be heavier, the period of the subject will be longer (maybe 8 periods per week !!),the chapters will have a longer time to finish learning (because Additional Maths is the additional subjects of the previous subjects in Modern Maths) and more importantly....students will find it difficult to gain A plus for SPM..
I'm just beginning the chapter 3 in form 4 recently, and I find it is quite difficult to understand and solve the question. But,when there's a will, there's a way.In Additional Maths,we have to be a hardworking person a little bit.Do drills to strenghten our knowledge about Additional Maths and we can just solve the Q's in the paper with ease.Ask teacher if we don't know the Q's and practise the Q's again and again..until we have found the way to solve it.
When you know how and which way to answer the Q's..you will find that Additional Maths is quite fun to learn. As people say it,"The Beauty Of Mathematics",or in this case,"Additional Mathematics".
-peace no war !!
